This lesson was a big hit with the kids and all of them just loved making this. It is a baby fawn portrait collage in oil pastel and tempera paint. The deer has step by step drawing instructions included in the lesson and the way it is created is really fun for the kids because we use brown and white oil pastels along with light blue to create a beautiful effect  that includes some value as an element of art . The sky is created as an oil pastel resist and has beautiful green forest leaves in yellow green and blue green all around the baby deer.  Observational drawing skills are taught along with painting techniques.We learn about King David and how the Holy Spirit refreshed his spirit during times of trouble.
