This lesson is all about how God said “Let there be Light” It is a really free flowing lesson and all the kids love making lines and learning about the ocean and the sun. Trying to keep just lines in their composition was the challenge but they were extremely happy with their finished work and every single composition was different. We learn about warm and cool colors and use texture as an element of art in the form of salt which was really fun since salt is in the ocean! The Bible part about God speaking everything into existence in 6 days is really beautiful with the focus at the end explaining that in all His creation the most beautiful and amazing thing He created is us as His kids and that He wants to be our friend.
